Afternoon at the Park

Last weekend was so nice so we decided to take Sophia and Abby to the park.  The weather was beautiful and Sophia had so much fun...I don't think she ever stopped running...except to pick dandelions.  We did not get to let Abby off of the leash because there were too many people around, but she had fun anyway.  Maybe next time, Abby!

She is wild and crazy!

Later that afternoon the Gloria's patio was calling our name.  Only one of us got to enjoy a margarita...but the food was delicious. :)  Sophia loves the black bean dip just as much as her parents do!  Our little family of 3 had a wonderful day!  We are loving this weather and hoping Spring will stay for a while before it gets too hot to do anything.

Bluebonnets!

This year the bluebonnets did not bloom as abundantly as they have in years past...I don't know why?  The late freezes?  Lack of rain?  Who knows.  But, regardless, we found a good spot by our house that had a pretty field!  Sophia had a lot of fun running around.  My how she has changed from a year ago!  Special thanks to Emerson for Sophia's dress! Okay, here is a picture overload...

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  We had such a fun day celebrating Easter.  We had a fairly relaxing morning and then we got dressed up and gave Sophia her Easter basket.  She seemed to like everything and had a lot of fun with it.  Then, we went to church and Sophia did much better than I thought she would...yay!  Maybe this means we are ready for church again!  After church, we headed over to Sandy and Warren's house for Easter brunch.  We broke our tradition of the Cheesecake Factory because it was going to be too hard this year.  We had a fabulous brunch with way too much food...and we all had so much fun.  The kids are all so cute together.

Happy Easter!!

Just chillin' with her cousins.

And now with Baby Rowan...now Sophia is having fun!
Exploring her Easter basket goodies after her nap :)

Easter Festivities

We had such a wonderful Easter weekend!  We started off the weekend on Friday with a fun Easter egg hunt at Miss Sandra's house.  Sophia had a blast and I was surprised by how quickly she caught on with the egg hunt...she is so funny.  She just ran around collecting eggs like a little girl...she is not a baby anymore and I just can't believe it!  She has so much fun with Miss Sandra and the kids in her day care and we are so happy about that.

Having fun!
Sophia and Jules :)

The whole group (plus a few extra siblings).  Love those goofy boys!

She loves to play!  Showing off her sliding skills.
The next morning our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids.  Sophia's cousins were supposed to come also but Conor got sick, but we decided to go anyway.  Sophia was a little shy at first like she always is around new people, but once we showed her the playground she was happy!

A new playground...she is excited about this.

Look at me!!

She did NOT like the Easter bunny.
The little kids Easter egg section...wow!
Sophia was having a hard time waiting...we may have had to take one egg to stop a tantrum from happening :)
Finally time to start!
She had a blast!  So much fun to watch her enjoy these things :)

18 Months!!

Our sweet girl turned 18 months last month!!  I can barely believe that the time has gone so quickly...but Sophia has all of sudden grown from a baby to a little girl!  She has so much personality these days and it is so much fun to watch her.  It is also very exhausting to watch her as she is always running, climbing, jumping, running, and climbing.  The girl does not stay still for long!  In her 18th month her talking really started to develop and she now says several more words...we understand a lot of them but some of them we don't.  Sophia is mostly a sweet little girl, but also knows how to hit, slap, and scratch to get her way...and we are working on that!  I think her favorite things right now are her dog Abby (and all other dogs), playing anything outside, swinging, going on walks, running around, her babydoll, coloring and stickers.  We are so blessed to be Sophia's parents and absolutely love her to pieces!!

Sophia's 18 month stats:

Height: 32 1/2 inches (75%)
Weight: 22 pounds 8 ounces (25%)
Head: 18 1/4 inches (50%)

Sweet girl :)

Loves shooting baskets with daddy.

One of Sophia's favorites, swinging!

She decided to play hide and seek with her shirt :)
