3 Months Old

Our baby turned 3 months old on Monday, the 19th! The time went by so fast between 2 and 3 months...probably because I started work on December 12th and the holidays have kept us all busy as well. Sophia is doing so good at 3 months!

* we did not have an appt this month, but at our home scale she weighs 12 pounds 6 ounces
* wears size 1 diapers
* wears size 3-6 month clothes
* she still has a full head of hair and blue eyes (still not sure if these will stay)
* can roll tummy to back and I think she was trying to roll from her back to tummy the other night, she kept getting stuck on her side :)
* sleeping swaddled at night but not at naps
* grabs all the toys on her playmat
* coos and smiles all the time and in response to us talking to her
* still loves to stare at herself in mirrors
* still a very happy girl!
* loves her warm baths
* a great sleeper...she will go down at about 8:30pm and sleep until 6 or 6:30am, and then back to sleep until 8:30am. Sometimes she wakes up at 2:30am to eat, but it is random, not every night.

Sophia has adjusted really well to me going back to work. She sleeps until 8:30 or so, then Jeramy gets her up and dressed and takes her to the nanny's house. She really like Sandra and seems really happy, and all of the kids there love Sophia. When I pick her up at 5 I am so happy to see her. It is definitely harder on me than on her!!

Sophia rolls over!

Sophia officially rolled over on December 2nd. She did it like 5 times that day and has continued to roll over every day. I'm so proud of her and so happy I got to see her do it before I go back to work!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we have so much to be thankful for - all of our family and friends and especially the two new precious babies in our family, Sophia and her cousin Juliana!

We had a great time this year with Grandma and Grandpa Leonard! We all worked together to make the meal and it turned out perfect! I don't have very many pictures unfortunately, but here are a few.

2 Months Old!

Our baby girl turned 2 months old on November 19th! Life with Sophia Grace has been so wonderful and we are all doing great! She had her 2 month checkup on 11/18 and here are here stats:
Height: 22 1/2 inches (50-75%)
Weight: 11 pounds 1 ounce (50-75%)
Head: 14 1/4" (5%)

Here is a little about Sophia:

•wears 0-3 month and some 3-6 month clothes
•wears size 1 diapers
•doing great at tummy time every day
•still sleeping swaddled at night and naps (when she naps in her crib that is)
•grabs at the toys on her playmat
•coos, smiles and laughs all the time - a very happy girl
•she has such a cute, distinct cry when she is hungry. It sounds like she is being tortured. I finally got it on video :)
•is not a morning person at all, just like her parents! I wish everyone could see how long she has to strech every morning, it is hilarious! She sleeps from about 9:30pm to about 9:30am every day. She has been doing great and consistently sleeping for 8 hours in a row and recently made it 9 and even 10 once. We would like to push her bedtime up to 8 or 8:30 but I'm hoping that comes easier once I go back to work.

Cousin Juliana has arrived!

Juliana arrived on the evening of 11/17/11!! She weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 21 inches and is so beautiful! Sandy, Juliana and the Grant family are all doing great. (and this post is so late)

Here Lately....

Sophia is doing so great! She is 7 1/2 weeks old now and learning more every day. She loves to smile and laugh at us and is very talkative or "noisy". She also really loves to take baths. If she is in a bad mood (which is normally only at night) we give her a bath and she is happy again. She loves to stare into mirrors, especially the one in her swing and the one attached to the car seat. We have been able to visit more friends and run more errands together this last few weeks. We even take Sophia out to dinner with us every weekend now and she is very good and normally sleeps the whole time. Here are some pictures!

Newborn Pictures

We had Sophia's pictures taken when she was just 6 days old. We got them back last week and I think they came out so cute!! Here are a few of them.

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween Party

This past weekend we went to the Arboretum to take pictures in the pumpkin patch. Can you believe that Jeramy and I have never been to the Arboretum! We have been waiting until we had kids...well she is here. I think Sophia may have been the youngest baby there :) It is beautiful and I think we got some great pictures.

Our friends Frank, Emily and Emerson had a Halloween costume party this past weekend. Well we didn't have a costume for Sophia but she did wear her Halloween onesie. We all had so much fun and Sophia got to meet some of her friends for the first time!
