Happy Love Day!
Jeramy and I don't normally do anything big for V-day...we used to try to go to dinner or cook something nice, and this year we went to lunch together. Oh, and he got me roses, so sweet...flowers always make me happy :) Valentine's was even more fun this year because we had Sophia to celebrate with! I thought she looked super cute (and so big!) in her heart dress!
Sophia's Nana and Pops sent her a Valentine in the mail and she had fun opening it! |
It had a mirror on the front of it and she was looking at herself :) |
Silly! |
They also sent her some cute bows. Thank you Nana and Pops!! |
Sophia's adorable handprints |
Another Valentine's craft :) |
Sophia's Valentine's gift! |
At first she just wanted to carry it around like a purse :) |
She finally dug in...she got a Little People minivan and a baby soccer ball. She loved her new toys! |
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Sophia Lately!
We have been doing great since we got back from Christmas break...busy, but great! Sophia has gone from walking to running and is an extremely busy little girl! She loves to scream, make funny noises, and has the girliest shreak! She has no fear, loves to climb on top of anything and everything, and is extremely ticklish! She loves to chase and be chased around the house, play hide and seek, and she especially loves playing with our dog Abby! She has started saying more words (uh-oh, mama, dada, hi, abby, water, diaper) and I think she says, or tries to say others that I just don't understand. She definitely understands a lot - "outside", "upstairs" "sit down" "good dog" (this means pet abby), "lay down", "time to eat", "are you hungry", "do you want water", "let's go for a ride", "time to take a bath", "bye bye", "goodnight", "paci", "bottle" and there is a whole lot more but I cannot list it all :) We are having so much fun with this little girl and cannot believe she is almost a toddler!! I will still call her my baby until she is at least 18 months, or maybe 2.
Just doing a little vacuuming :) |
Who doesn't love playing in the rain? |
I just love her curls! |
She looks like such a toddler with piggies :) |
Playing with Cousin Jules! |
Cheese! |
Playing with her farm animals |
Sophia's favorite book |
Like mother like daughter - this girl absolutely LOVES spaghetti! |
Messy.... |
but delicious! |
And also fun to play with :) |

New York!
Jeramy and I went to New York the week after Christmas to celebrate New Year's Eve and my 30th Birthday!! We dropped Sophia and Abby off in Austin and Grandma and Grandpa Leonard watched them for a few days and then Nana and Pops took over. We are so grateful to have such great parents who are happy to watch Sophia so that we can take trips every so often. We love you guys!
Our trip to NYC was amazing! The city was still decorated for Christmas so everything was beautiful. On New Years Eve we got to stand in Time Square and see the ball drop at midnight, very cool! We ate lots of delicous food, had good drinks, did some shopping, went to a few shows, and pretty much did everything on our "list". But we also made sure to relax and take naps when we felt like it...we don't get that luxury when we are at home :)
