9 Months!

Our sweet girl is 9 months old!  She has become a very busy little girl these days!  She can now army crawl and really works hard to move.  She gets pretty frustrated when she cannot get to where she wants to go.  I am pretty sure she will begin crawling/cruising very soon.  Addison still adores her big sister and if Sophia is on the floor playing with her she is happy as can be and would stay down there for hours.  She is still an incredibly smiley, happy and sweet baby and we just love this girl to pieces!   Addison had her 9 month appointment this week and here are her stats:

• weight: 21 pounds 13 ounces (90%)
• height: 28 inches 3/4 (85%)
• head: 17.5 inches (60%)

What else she has been up to:

• 3 - 8 ounce bottles a day; 3 solid meals a day and 1 snack
• Sleeps 11-12 hours at night (about 8pm - 8am) with 2 naps per day
• Size 4 diapers and size 18 month clothes!
• Started army crawling.  She still gets all over the place by scooting, rolling and can now crawl forward!
• She is still very vocal.  Says mamama, dadadada and bababaa.
• She can hold her own bottle now.
• Loves water - both bath time and swimming pool!

We've had fun this month!  The weather has been so nice, so we've had lots of outside time.  We took a long weekend down to Austin and San Antonio for Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed visiting with our parents.  It was a fun start to the summer and we are looking forward to June and July!!

Sophia's Last Day of Preschool

Sophia had her last day of Preschool in the 18-24 month class on May 29th!  We loved her teachers and her school so much, and will miss it this summer.  Next year I will be sure to take a "First Day of School" picture so that we can compare!!  Here is a picture of her last September just to show how much taller she has gotten.  I need to remind her to stop growing up so fast!

8 Months!

Our sweet Addison is 8 months old!  To say time is going by quickly is an understatement...it is even worse this time around since I have two kids to chase around.  We don't have an appt this month so I don't know her height or weight.  I think she is about 20 pounds.  A lot has happened with Addison this month!

• She became a sitter this month!
• She is quite a mover and can get all over the room by rolling and scooting but cannot crawl yet.  At the very end this month I noticed she was lifting her belly up and getting on all fours, so she is getting a little closer.  I can't believe she is almost mobile!!
• Takes 4 bottles a day (transitioned to formula towards the end of this month) and 3 solid meals a day.  We have introduced puffs, Gerber cookies and yogurt melts and mum mums.  She does okay but not great.  Still not quite ready for table foods.
• She got her first 2 bottom teeth at the beginning of this month...right about the same time.  It was a rough week but we are back to being a happy girl!
• She has become extremely vocal the last month.  Loves to scream and hear herself talk. 
• Wears size 3 diapers and size 12 month clothes.
• She started sleeping through the night towards the middle of this month!!  Hallelujah!  She normally goes down between 8:15/8:30 and wakes up between 7:30/8am.  She also takes a short morning nap, long afternoon nap, and sometimes a short nap around 7pm after dinner.
• She is our happy girl...she is generally just very happy and smiley.  She loves to play on the floor with her toys and still likes playing in her bouncer and exersaucer.  She has the sweetest laugh.  
• Whenever she sees her daddy walk through the door her face lights up...it is precious!  She pretty much smiles at him throughout dinner.
• Addison no longer likes to have her diaper changed...boo!

Sweet Addison, we always talk about how you are such a good baby.  We feel so lucky to have you in our lives.  You are so loved!!

Addison's Baptism!

Addison Rose was baptized in front of all of our family and some friends on April 26th!  The day was perfect and Addison looked like such an angel!  We are so honored that Aunt Sandy and Uncle Warren are her Godparents.  We are really thankful to everyone who came to celebrate Addison's Baptism with us!  We love this baby girl so much!!  And surprisingly, she did not cry at all during the entire ceremony or the party afterwards.  Addison has a bit of stranger danger these days so I was proud of her. :)

We had a little party at our house afterwards but only took 2 pictures. We all had a good time eating, drinking and playing with ALL of the kids.  :) 

7 months!

Our precious girl turned 7 months May 2nd! She continues to be such a good baby and we are just in love with this sweet girl. She is always smiling and laughing and has such a happy personality.  When people first meet Addison it is a toss up on whether they first comment on her head full of hair or her chubby legs :)  At 7 months:

• Addison gained 1 1/2 pounds and now weighs almost 20 pounds!
• She wears size 3 diapers and size 12 month clothes.
• She eats milk 5 times per day and now on solids 3 times per day - sometimes 2 if she happens to sleep through lunch.
• She learned to roll around and can now get all over the place by rolling.  
• She is still working on sitting on her own...almost!
• She is very vocal and loud!
• She still likes sticking everything, including her feet, in her mouth!
• We had a really rough month in the sleeping department!  Addison woke 2-3 times (or more) for several weeks and would not go to sleep until I fed her.  At the end of April we moved her to her own room and increased her solids from 2-3 times a day.  Now I'm happy to say she has gone several days going to sleep by 8 or 8:30pm and not waking up until around 5am to eat.  Last night it was 6am....so we are getting closer!  She takes 2-3 naps a day, depending on the length.
• Still loves mommy, Sophia, being held, her jumper, going on walks, baths, and eating!  And now recently she really likes petting Abby.  Also, when daddy walks in the room, Addison lights up smiling and laughing, it is precious.

Sweet girl, you are growing up way too fast...but we are loving every minute with you!! You are our precious baby girl!
