10 Months!

Sweet Addison turned 10 months August 2nd!  Addison loves to move around and play and chase her sister around, but also loves to be held.  When her daddy comes out in the morning and as soon as he gets home from work, she gets very excited and loves being picked up by him.  We cannot get away with putting her in the jumper, walker or exersaucer very often anymore and our baby proofing has had to move to the next level again!  She has the most precious smile and the sweetest laugh and we just love this baby girl to pieces.  Here is what is new this month:

  • She got her top 2 teeth! She now has 4 total teeth.
  • waves hi and bye bye now
  • says mama, dada, baba...and still a very loud talker!
  • just started pulling up last week!
  • still army crawling...getting pretty fast :)
  • Is now eating a lot more table food and LOVES it!
  • still on 3 bottles a day
  • size 4 diapers
  • size 18 month clothing
  • still a great sleeper...sleeping about 12 hours at night and 2 naps per day.
Happy girl!
Silly girl!
First spaghetti night...she loved it!
She likes to eat.

San Antonio Vacation!

At the end of June and beginning of July we went on a trip to San Antonio!  Funny that I used to live in SA and now we are vacationing there, right?  This is our life with little kids. :)  Anyway, we wanted to take Sophia somewhere fun while Nana and Pops took care of Addison...and San Antonio made the most sense!  Jeramy and I loved spending some quality time with Sophia.  I know Sophia loved it too, but she did ask about Addison ALL the time, so I think she missed her sister.

The first day we took Sophia to Kiddie Park!  I went to this amusement park when I was a kid and it has been restored.  They still have all of the same rides...the carousel, the boats, the planes, the bus, the ferris wheel...I was so excited to see everything!  Sophia was super shy at first but then she opened up and loved it!  It was the perfect first amusement park for a 2 year old...small rides and not too loud or overwhelming.  She had a blast and I see lots of rides in our future.

Cotton Candy, YUM!
Grandma and Grandpa were able to meet us!
The carousel was a hit!
This is as crazy as I get on rides!

After Kiddie Park we went and had lunch at Casa Rio on the Riverwalk.

She loved the ducks and may have fed them a chip or 2 or 3 :)
We stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and it was fabulous!  They had great pools, a lazy river, a beach/sand area, a playground, several great restaurants, s'mores and movies every night, and lots of other family activities.  There was also fun stuff for the big kids/adults like a big water slide and a surfing area that we did not get to participate in.

We sure did have a blast with our Sophia!  I highly recommend the Hyatt resort and hope we can come back again with both of our girls.  A big thanks to Nana and Pops for watching our sweet Addison...we missed our baby girl tons!

June Fun

The month of June completely flew by and we had so much fun!  I always wish I had taken more pictures...but I'm glad I got a few of my sweet girls!  They are growing up so so fast and I am LOVING this summer with them.  We are swimming tons, playing with friends, eating, learning to crawl, spending time with family, and just relaxing!  Sophia started swim lessons this month and after a rough start I am happy to say she is loving it now!

Big news for us, we took away Sophia's pacifier this month.  She traded it in for a new baby and we told her the paci was going to Baby Winnie (the Nezda's new baby) and she seemed pretty pleased with that explanation.  After worrying about this for months, I'm glad we have finally done it, and she did great!

In other news, Sophia is wonderful with Baby Addison.  She is such a good big sister and calls her "my Addison".  She loves to help change her, feed her, hold her (even though she does not sit still long), and best of all she has started playing with her.  She has to be reminded to share toys and not steal the toys Addison is playing with, but she is getting better.  And of course, Addison just adores Sophia.  It makes me so happy to see the friendship that is growing between these sisters.

Eating at Gloria's on the patio!
Having lunch at the mall!
She has gotten so brave in the water this year!
My little fish :)
Splash park fun!

Happy Father's Day to a wonderful daddy!!
Fun at the park with Jules!
My big girl!!
She loves to line all of her babies up on the floor or on the couch to go shopping or eat or watch a show.  She takes care of them and feeds them and wraps them up in blankets and it is so cute to watch.  The purse around her neck is what I don't understand!
Abby wants to play too!
Fun in the pool with Grandma and Grandpa!
Our family!  We have 2 frowning kids but at least we got the picture :)
Little diva...high heels and sunglasses.  She walked around like this for days.
First swim lesson!

Playing on the new swing set at Nana and Pops house.
Happy girl!
