Christmas Activities!

December was full of fun activities.  This year Sophia loved doing everything and was super interested in Christmas lights, Santa Clause, decorating cookies and our gingerbread house, and decorating our Christmas tree!  It was so much fun to see her enjoy all of these fun Christmas traditions.

So excited to decorate the gingerbread house!

The finished house!  We may have eaten a few candies along the way :)

Sugar cookie decorating with Jules and Conor!

Yum!

Eating at Jake's with the Grant's before going to Christmas in the Square.

The Leonard Family 2014 Christmas Card!  Merry Christmas!!

Meeting Santa Clause!

This year Sophia was super excited to meet Santa Clause and obviously Addison had no idea what was going on. :)

The Santa at Stonebriar was really nice and let Sophia talk to him a few times before getting her official picture taken...she loved going to the mall over the holidays!

So excited to go meet Santa!

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year!  We have 2 beautiful, healthy girls, 2 loving extended families whom we love spending time with, our dog Abby, good friends, a wonderful house, and great jobs.  We are so blessed!

We spent Thanksgiving day with the Pons side of the family.  It was great to see so much family that we don't see often including Uncle Bobby and his family and my Uncle Steve and Aunt Norma and Uncle Jim and Aunt Blanca.  Our friends Jenny and Bill were also there.  My parents made a fabulous meal that we all enjoyed!  We had a lot of fun eating, hanging out, playing and watching football.

Jenny gave all of the kids a turkey cookie.  Sophia loved it!

Thursday evening (after the Cowboy game, of course) we went to Austin to spend the rest of the weekend with the Leonard's.  We had a relaxing weekend just playing, eating and watching football.  Jeramy and I were able to do some Black Friday shopping and go to dinner alone, which is always nice!

Showing off the Christmas garland that she made with Grandma.

Camping at Pedernales State Park

Jeramy, Sophia, and I went to Pedernales State Park a few days before Thanksgiving for our first family camping trip!  Since we wanted to stay in a tent rather than a cabin, Nana and Pops watched Addison since she is not quite old enough.  The weather was absolutely perfect and we had so much fun exploring the outdoors without television, cellphones, and ipads!  We enjoyed campfires, cooking our food, eating, hiking, games, and lots of exploring.

Sophia loved helping us do everything from unpacking the car, setting up the tent, making up our beds, throwing wood on the campfire, and washing the dishes.  She was involved in everything and loved it!  We didn't know how Sophia would like camping and sleeping in a tent...but she had so much fun!  She was so excited to sleep in the tent (and exhausted) that she started asking to go to sleep around 7.  I made her stay up a little later but I'm pretty sure she was asleep by 8 or 8:30 and didn't wake up until 9.  I was amazed!  We had a great time and definitely plan on camping again soon.

I forgot my camera but got a few pictures on my phone :)

This is where we set up our tent.

Jumping off branches and exploring with her flashlight.

Our first hike to Pedernales Falls

We have a walker!

This post is over 2 months overdue but I have to document it anyway.  Addison took her first steps on November 12th and everyday after that progressed.  Within a week she was walking all over the house and it was less than 2 weeks before she preferred walking to crawling.  This girl was ready to walk and so excited when she figured it out!  Now 2 months later, she has gotten fast and much sturdier and is pretty close to running!

We are so proud of our baby!!

Sophia loves that she can run around the house with her sister now!  They love holding hands and walking...it is so sweet.
