Addison's Baptism!

Addison Rose was baptized in front of all of our family and some friends on April 26th! The day was perfect and Addison looked like such an angel! We are so honored that Aunt Sandy and Uncle Warren are her Godparents. We are really thankful to everyone who came to celebrate Addison's Baptism with us! We love this baby girl so much!! And surprisingly, she did not cry at all during the entire ceremony or the party afterwards. Addison has a bit of stranger danger these days so I was proud of her. :)

We had a little party at our house afterwards but only took 2 pictures. We all had a good time eating, drinking and playing with ALL of the kids. :)

7 months!

Our precious girl turned 7 months May 2nd! She continues to be such a good baby and we are just in love with this sweet girl. She is always smiling and laughing and has such a happy personality. When people first meet Addison it is a toss up on whether they first comment on her head full of hair or her chubby legs :) At 7 months:

Addison gained 1 1/2 pounds and now weighs almost 20 pounds!
She wears size 3 diapers and size 12 month clothes.
She eats milk 5 times per day and now on solids 3 times per day - sometimes 2 if she happens to sleep through lunch.
She learned to roll around and can now get all over the place by rolling.
She is still working on sitting on her own...almost!
She is very vocal and loud!
She still likes sticking everything, including her feet, in her mouth!
We had a really rough month in the sleeping department! Addison woke 2-3 times (or more) for several weeks and would not go to sleep until I fed her. At the end of April we moved her to her own room and increased her solids from 2-3 times a day. Now I'm happy to say she has gone several days going to sleep by 8 or 8:30pm and not waking up until around 5am to eat. Last night it was 6am....so we are getting closer! She takes 2-3 naps a day, depending on the length.
Still loves mommy, Sophia, being held, her jumper, going on walks, baths, and eating! And now recently she really likes petting Abby. Also, when daddy walks in the room, Addison lights up smiling and laughing, it is precious.

Sweet girl, you are growing up way too fast...but we are loving every minute with you!! You are our precious baby girl!

Easter 2014!

We had such a fabulous Easter weekend!! This year was special because it was Addison's first Easter and also because Sophia was so excited about everything! It started off Thursday morning when Sophia had her Easter party at school. They had snacks and she had her first Easter egg hunt of the weekend. I don't have any pictures, but she had so much fun!

Saturday morning we had our neighborhood Easter egg hunt! Conor and Jules came over and we all went together. She was so excited but ended up getting terrified of the Easter bunny...and the Chick-Fil-A cow that was there. She kept telling us she wanted to go home. She ended up having fun on the playground and even managed to pick up a few eggs at the egg hunt.

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day! We all woke up and started getting dressed and as soon as Sophia came downstairs she ran to the living room and saw her Easter basket. She was so excited to see a new baby and came to tell us. She quickly started looking at everything else in her basket and was so genuinely excited, it was really cute. She even ran to tell Addison about her Easter basket. :) The 4 of us went to church together which was really nice. Then we went over to the Sano's house who were kind enough to have us over for lunch. We had a great time hanging out, eating yummy food, playing and of course watching the Spurs beat the Mavs!

Bluebonnets!

Here are our bluebonnet pictures for this year! We had to squeeze them in over Easter weekend. I'm glad we were able to go take them before all of the bluebonnets were gone! I am happy with how they came out, especially the 2 girls together!

Six months!

Addison turned 6 months old today! I know I say it all the time, but can't believe she is already 6 months old. Having two kids has kept me really busy and I feel like the time has really flown by this time around. Addison is still the best baby, so sweet and always happy. We love her so much and have enjoyed every minute with her.

I took her to the doctor today and she is doing great. First of all her stats:
Weight: 18 pounds 6 ounces (90%)
Height: 26 1/2 inches - (75%)
Head circumference: 16 1/2 inches - (35%)

This month:

She started rolling over from stomach to back and is getting better at that. She still gets stuck and very frustrated when she tries to roll from back to stomach.
She is not sitting yet but is getting close.
We started her on solids a few weeks ago and she loves them! So far she eats 2-3 tbsp of rice cereal for lunch and normally 1 whole jar of fruit or veggie for dinner. She likes apples, pears, bananas, carrots and sweet potatoes.
Wears 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers
She is sleeping from about 9pm-8am. She also still takes 3 naps a day with the longest being about 2 1/2 or 3 hours in the afternoon.
The last few weeks have been rough at night. Addison has been waking up every few hours and I'm pretty sure it's due to teething. Some nights are better/worse than others, but please let this end soon!! I stopped swaddling her this month which has also been an adjustment.
She found her feet and loves to play with them.
She loves to grab anything and everything and sticks all of her toys and hands in her mouth.
She started taking baths with her sister and they both love it!
